Poetry Makes Me

Hey, I'm just a poet. Words pumping warm in my veins like similies. Bones are metaphores. And the rest, the rest hasn't been written yet....

I Just Know I Love You

Sitting park side on a park bench I saw you
Stepped up to salu-
tate took a breath to say hey…
what’s up wit chu love
sight of you sent wanting wonders inclined to inquire if I could love you love
Flagellantly let loose love
            through you love
            Like you love
infinity times infinity
where adolescence up the ante like infinity times infinity plus 2 love
where us pair walking could stagger
down sacred libationed isles
poured in love
sacrificing our altered selves at alter where we offer I do’s
passionate exploding colors cover cumulously nimbus rain clouds mediocre on the
            gray scale
weary with waiting you exhale
heavier hues than Easter pastels
plunging paint past pigments
enrich melanin like the royal blue embodied in you
secretly
I mentally disrobe you
melting epidermal layers in pooled puddles of clothes till I expose your golden soul glowing my favorite color
blue
like Lenny William’s notes cause I love ya like Ooooooooh oh oh oh oh oooooh
I require
an agapied accountant constantly counting the amount or adoration deposited into you
see cause what I want to withdraw from you
is that compatibly inseparable super man glued stuck to you type
unnecessarily adding Elmers so excess globs drip drop love from you like
so contented existing in your presence that even your dripped essence taste like
a freshening excellence
when loving you
long… and warm
no less than God loves
How he sourced formed the sun’s thermal touches countless centuries before we were born
Sitting Indian style I wanna love you like innocence
Make love mud pies when I snip snails and puppy dog tail cheek sneaked the first             kiss
In the sandbox
Quicksand stuck loving you like Bathsheba Cleopatra and Egypt
Love like the ancients architect who blue printed the pyramids mysterious
Sarcophagus rest in our love so it’s scarabed remnance
Exist after last breath exits
Us
Riding on inertiaed laws forcing me to burning bush love you like Exodus
to divine revelation
Bathing in the word
watching cleansing living waters wash us
back to the big banged shores of Genesis

where we spirits
exercising exclusivity intertwine chakras intimately
just because

Wandering through the garden naked
words without denotation
absent any comprehension abstract and askew

Rhetorically reintroducing initial interrogative as a declaration
when I first asked you without waiting
could I love you

regardless thought provoked response
since first sight you’ve been indoctrinated into thoughts
twinkle in my minds eye
first infatuated
I loved you cause I had to
upon descending from a high like you I mellow into clarity
realizing that I love you
cause I have to
damn!
